Hyperpotamus makes a'cappella music, that simple, with four microphones, a loop station pedal and gallons of water. After being involved in a number of bands as a drummer and piano player, he decided to ditch musical instruments altogether and go his own way. What he left behind were bloodsucking labels, abusive rehearsal space rent, impossible transportation of bass drums and cymbals in unwelcoming geography, and lumbago. Freed, he started to rehearse his vocal compositions in the undgerground metro stations of Madrid; just 6 months later he was opening for bands in front of 1400 people.

Musikanto offers a more mature perspective on arrangements and composition then ever before. Killer Moon is fundamentally, a progressive metal band, but the Chicago based trio are otherwise difficult to categorize: elements of acid rock from the late 60’s early 70’s, stoner sludge, and some good old fashioned Black Sabbath doom can be heard in their music. They weave a complex fabric of sound that takes ones attention without the need for a voice. The intense conversation is between three main characters; lead guitarist Jesse Garza, bass player Amaris Aviles, and drummer Alex Santoyo. Every song they engage in is singular in its theatre, its own raw climatic set of moments. Jesse, often playing the protagonist performs each song with raw creative emotion, mature and relaxed in its expressions. In moments when he goes feverish into the stratosphere, the tangents are not self indulgent but important, for it's in these key moments that Alex and Amaris drift seamlessly to the center -- they contribute their dialogue. The themes ebb and flow or race ahead, but one is not lost nor distracted. Killer Moon's songs express a dominant swagger, like they’re older than they seem.

The South French Broads are an eclectic 2-piece ensemble that incorporate bass, drums, sax, harp, vocals, and sound toys into an energetic mix of rock, punk, jazz, comedy and theatrics. Based in Asheville, NC, the duo has been playing the local scene as well as touring both the region and the east coast. The energy on stage is incredible as Radix pounds the drums with punk rock abandon tempered with lush jazz styling... all while playing the sax, one handed, on selected numbers. Alex scurries around looping bass lines to enable the addition of harmonica and various toys. While seasoned musicianship is apparent, the duo seek foremost to entertain with a variety of styles, stories, and a fast paced set of pieces that rarely reach 3 minutes. Oddly original.

Experimental rock and electronic group Inkblot is proud to announce the release of their debut album, “Oink!” The initial recording sessions started in the spring of 2008 in a studio no bigger than a cubicle and evolved into a year-long cross-country anomaly, defying most conventional recording techniques. "Oink!" is fully a western psychedelic circus laced with fusions of rock and electronica as well as more delicate moments featuring acoustic instrumentation and curious spoken word courtesy of author Rick Strassman and Maggie Coats.

CRAWL is comprised of composer, and keyboardist extraordinaire Paul Mutzabaugh playing exclusively Wurlitzer in this band, bassist and composer Chris Clemente, and drummer/percussionist Rich Stitzel. Three totally different backgrounds, one ridiculous sounding instrumental trio. This band has super high energy, very deep grooves, and incredible polyrhythmic interaction in an improvisational approach to original, structured compositions.

Ashley Raines grew up in the Midwest and began running away from home almost as early as he could walk. By the age of fourteen he was hitchhiking from his home in Kansas to Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He hopped boxcars and taught himself any instrument he could get his hands on, recording his songs on four-track reel-to-reel machines which he sold while performing on the street. Raines has released seven studio and one live album(s).
