Arlum is a Chicago born rock band influenced by a wide range of music from the 60's - 90's. The early life stages of Arlum can be dated back to the year 2001, when Michael E began writing the album which is known today as "Breathing & Believing". The band formed in late 2003, when Michael E met bassist Randall Anderson and guitarist Jack Beshoar in college. Michael's cousin Dimitri, the final piece to the puzzle, joined shortly thereafter on drums. A raging four piece of melody driven noise came to life. In 2004 Arlum began testing the grounds along Chicago's Southside, accumulating a vast demographic of fans. The band would then later veer off into the direction of the big city. From 2005 to 2008, Arlum circled the entire Chicago land area, performing shows, from the Northshore down to the Southside. In Aug. 2009 and most of 2010, the band began recording their 1st full length, self-funded, self-produced album "Breathing & Believing". The Album was then mixed and mastered by Quentin Poynter at Chicago's Gunpoint Studios. "Breathing & Believing" was officially release on iTunes and Amazon on 1.11.11.

As well as penning arguably the most famous punk song ever, Pretty Vacant, Glen wrote the music to the Sex Pistols classics, including Anarchy In The UK and God Save The Queen, creating the benchmarks for any aspiring rock band. The Sex Pistols reunions have given the world the chance to see Glen reaffirm his rightful position as the cornerstone of the Pistols music. However, the Sex Pistols represent only a fraction of what Glen has achieved. His next band, the Rich Kids, put out one of the most influential albums of the late 70s, Ghosts Of Princes In Towers, packed full of rock ‘n’ pop gems. Working with Iggy Pop, (who recorded Glen’s song Ambition), during the 80s, kept him in the limelight and at the top of his game.

Hugh Cornwell is one of the UK's finest song-writing talents and accomplished live performers. The original guitarist, singer and main songwriter in The Stranglers enjoyed massive UK and European success with ten hit albums and twenty-one top forty singles in the 17-year period he was in the band. Sloppy Seconds is a Ramones/Dickies-influenced punk band from Indianapolis that started in the mid-1980s. With such underground hits as "Come Back, Traci" (a tribute to an underaged Traci Lords), "I Want 'em Dead", and "So Fucked up", the band prefers to sing about such topics as pornography, classic horror movies, old TV shows, comic books, alcohol, being fat, and getting drunk. They have been quoted as being proud to be fat, drunk, and stupid. Their name is the slang term for when a man has intercourse with another person who already has received another man's semen in the relevant orifice.

UK thrashers ONSLAUGHT may not be the most prolific but when this five piece do get into the studio, it is to the delight of fans and critics around the world… Time once again to prepare, because the band, led by charismatic singer Sy Keeler and the powerhouse guitar duo of Nige Rockett and Andy Rosser-Davies, is set to set the world of thrash on fire with the new album “Sounds Of Violence”!! Put simply, if you like your thrash metal ‘uncompromising’, this is the album for you and January 2011 is your month.
Rosser-Davies is not new to the band (he joined back in 2008), but whether it’s the speed of opener “Born For War” or the groove of “Hatebox”, his addition to the recording line up post the now famous 2005 reformation is the key to understanding the album that is poised to rip a new hole in the fabric of UK thrash metal!! Famed producer Jacob Hansen has given the Keeler vocal an evil edge that even their definitive 80’s years couldn’t quite capture and with a groove that is dominant, Onslaught are once again where they should be; ripping up the form book!
Onslaught were formed in Bristol by Nige Rockett (guitar) and Steve Grice (drums) in 1982 and began life under the influence of second generation, hard-core punk, but exploiting a strong love for the more metallic, they would quickly search out this more defined style and secure a deal to release first album, the dark and anarchic “Power From Hell”. In 1986, with the addition of new vocalist Sy Keeler, the band then signed to Music For Nations and released what has probably become their definitive record; “The Force”. Containing thrash classics like “Let There Be Death” and “Metal Forces”, “The Force” would receive rave reviews across the world that would catapult the band into the higher echelons of thrash. Sad then, that it’s follow up, “In Search Of Sanity” (released on London Records in 1989), would prove, despite being the band’s biggest selling LP of the period, to be the end breaking up the band’s strongest line up, due to; quote… “over-polished production” and “the replacement of Keeler by the record company”. It was 1991.
You can’t keep a good beast down, though! 14 years later, in November 2005, Keeler was back, and the first chords of “Let There Be Death” that night meant business; Onslaught’s return was go….! The band signed a new deal with Candlelight, recording the all important 4th studio album “Killing Peace” with Andy Sneap (Exodus, Arch Enemy) but straight away, the fiery vitriol and all important angst that had dominated the early years returned, and with the darkness and power of the name back, the next few years would see the band touring Europe and the UK bringing back to true fans the dark and brooding menace that had accompanied that studio album, with the now famous opening line “Spitting Blood In The Face Of God!” leaving many audiences quaking ….
Still, it’s probably the last three major festival appearances in the UK that now define where the “Killing Peace” cycle would end and the “Sounds Of Violence” era begin. After a rousing work out at Damnation 2008 – that resulted in the brutal album “Live Damnation” – and Hard Rock Hell 2009, the band descended on Bloodstock 2010 clutching a new deal with AFM and the promise of studio time to come. That 40mins was electrifying. Puffing out their chests and blasting away under a new backdrop that hinted at darker and more aggressive times to come, Onslaught ruled that afternoon and five hours of press later jumped on a plane to fly straight to Hansen’s Studios in Denmark to begin work on “Sounds Of Violence”… Four months later and with studio sessions both in Denmark and Wales behind them, “Sounds Of Violence” is delivered, an album brimming with all the guile this band are known for but with a gritty feel that critics knew was always in their dark hearts, exposed…! Says Rockett of the title track alone, “We are really stoked to finally be getting new material out to the public; it´s been a long time since “Killing Peace” and this track perfectly sums up the upcoming release. “The Sound of Violence” is a really cool representation of the whole record; its got a real old school Onslaught feel but its very contemporary too...; it’s a real angry, no nonsense thrash song...!”
Without doubt, Onslaught are once again where they should be; putting out a record that challenges the norm, and makes a statement to a world that has become darker and, yes also more brutal. Onslaught are confirmed for the stage of this year’s Hammerfest (March 17th - March 19 2011) at Pontins in North Wales… Be ready!!
First single, a cover of the Kilmister / Clarke / Taylor classic “Bomber” (with special guest appearances from Motörhead’s Phil Campbell and Sodom singer Tom Angelripper) will be released on all digital platforms on December 17th and backed by the said title track it’s a vicious statement of intent; but come January 28th, be aware…; in fact, be very aware!! In 1979 a dark formation occurred, a black ripple that would soon become a wave: one which made a huge impact on the metal world. Taking the name of Mantas, the legendary guitarist Jeff Dunn formed an outfit that rivalled the stage shows of bands such as Kiss and challenged the occult themes that Black Sabbath had pioneered. He took the knife edge that had made Judas Priest dangerous and the volume that had made Motörhead so intense, and rolled it into a big, black dirtball called Venom.
With renewed hunger and inspiration, Mantas joined up with the Demolition Man, bassist/vocalist Tony Dolan, in 1988. The duo penned Prime Evil, an album hailed as a return to form with its cleaner sound and the mighty vocal attack of Dolan. After Demolition Man’s exit in 1992, drummer Antton (Antony Lant) took up the sticks for the powerful Resurrection album, after which Mantas departed from Venom.
In 2010 Mantas’s work with his own band, Dryll, seemed to be paying dividends, and following his drummer’s departure, Antton – who played in his own outfit, Def Con One – joined Dryll. It didn’t take long before the mutterings began. What if Mantas and Antton could coax The Demolition Man back? The call went out – and in came Dolan once more...
The trio decided that they needed to produce something befitting of their musical prowess. Something unashamedly heavy and without restraint; free of ego, deception and unreasonable behaviour – and fulfilling for them as musicians.
The band’s die-hard fans were left to chose a name for the new group, as it was they who had pushed for the new group to form. Naturally, in hindsight, Prime Evil was the name they chose – and so the band were free to make the music that they had always wanted to make, without pretending that it was 1982 all over again. After announcing themselves to the world the band were asked to reconsider the chosen name out of respect for another act who had named themselves after the self same Venom album title. Without hesitation and with understanding and the respect to be expected by this honorable trio, they changed their name… and so to the future…
Mpire Of Evil's debut mini-album, 'Creatures Of The Black', will be released October 25th 2011 on Scarlet Records. The CD will feature cover versions of four songs that influenced the members of the band ('Exciter' by Judas Priest, 'God Of Thunder' by Kiss, 'Hell Ain't A Bad Place To Be' by AC/DC and 'Motörhead' by Motörhead) plus two brand new original tracks, 'Creatures Of The Black' and 'Reptile'. A full-length effort will follow sometime in early 2012, with a full tour planned for the same year.

Perversion started in 2006 by Mahmud Gecekusu, Ahmet Gecekusu and Rhama. Both Rhama and Mahmud have been friends since the early days of Dubai’s “Metal Scene”. They both had the idea of forming a band together for a long time since they both share the exact same taste in music. Perversion struggled in finding the right drummer as the scene lacked skillful drummers back then. By the end of 2006, Perversion was introduced to Bachir, who just moved to Dubai from Lebanon due to the war overthere. The first jam session with Bachir went better than expected, Both Rhama and Mahmud knew that Bachir was the right drummer for perversion and he was asked to join the band permanently. With the lineup completed, Perversion immediately started writing songs, and by the first quarter of 2007 Perversion wrote “Dementia of Devourment”, “The Origins of Horror” and “Venomous Semen”. In September 2007, Ahmet, who was the bands lead guitarist and also Mahmud’s younger brother Had to leave Dubai to pursue his studies. Perversion became the only active 3 piece death metal band in Dubai. 2008 was quite a busy year for Perversion, playing gigs in Dubai and Abu Dhabi and also releasing their first EP entitled “ The Origins of Horror” which was recorded at “In the Mix” studios in Dubai. In july 2010, Perversion entered the studio to record their first full length album “Pillars of the Enlightened”, which will feature revised and restructured songs from their first release as well as new tunes that defines Perversion’s musical approach.

Next thing you know, everything in sight is totally destroyed. Only shreds remain of flesh and everything else that once stood. This is what happens once you put this demo on. ABSCONDER is a band from the Champaign, Illinois area, formed in 2009. Brad Buldak put this beast together. He was the singer/bass player in the great old school death metal band MORGUE, and he does the same here. Absconder have the feel of both Swedish and Finnish old school death metal. But they also have an old American vibe thrown in. So you can hear traces of NIHILIST, GRAVE, CONVULSE, ABHORRANCE, MASTER and MASSACRE in the death noise. It is so heavy and low end at times, there is a little bit of ROTTREVORE thrown into the death metal stew on here. There is a lot of CELTIC FROST in the music as well. In the end, it is all crushing and totally awesome!

The roots of Arkona are to be searched for in the beginning of 2002, when the members of local pagan community "Vyatichi" – Maria "Scream" Arhipova and Alexander "Warlock" Korolyov decided to form a band, according to their ideology and musical tastes.
Initially, the band was called "Hyperborea", it consisted of: Maria "Scream" Arhipova (vocal), Eugene Knyazev (guitar), Eugene Borzov (bass-guitar), Ilya Bogatyryov (guitar), Alexander "Warlock" Korolyov (drums), Olga Loginova (keyboard). In February 2002 the band was renamed into "Arkona". The musical materials of the band were pagan/folk metal based and the lyrics had an idea of ancient national beliefs and history of Slavonic Russia .

Upon her return to the States, Janus embraced Manhattan nightlife, creating Felliniesque cabarets and parties in a nihilistic club scene. The legend of Mike Stud dates back to his days growing up (some even say blowing up) as one of Providence, Rhode Island’s greatest ball players of all time. As a highly touted high school Senior at Saint Raphael’s Academy, Stud’s work on the mound earned him Rhode Island’s 2006 Gatorade Player of the Year and Louisville Slugger Player of the Year honors. So when the Duke Blue Devils came knocking, he packed up his .354 batting average and 107 senior season strikeouts and headed to Durham.
But it was the heat Stud was tossing off the field that was raising eyebrows and bobbing heads. It wasn’t until the end of his junior year that Stud would hone his hidden Hip-Hop skills. After two strong seasons at Duke, including an All-American Freshman year, Tommy John Surgery put Stud on the sidelines. Suddenly rhyming became an outlet to pass the time. AUTOPSYFormed in 1987 by Chris Reifert and Eric Cutler. Danny Corralles joined in 1988. Dis-banded in 1994, the group has been Awakened by Gore and have returned to continue their brutal assault on the metal scene. With a new EP out, "The Tomb Within," the band played Maryland Deathfest XIII 2010, Party San Metal Open Air 2010 Bad Berka Germany, and Hole in the Sky 2010 in Bergen Norway. Autopsy was joined by thrash metal legend Danny Lilker on bass for the shows. Since then, Joe Trevisano has joined Autopsy as the permanent bassist. Autopsy is now done recording a new full length album titled "Macabre Eternal." It will rape maim kill rape and spill your blood.

Sabaton are a grammis-nominated power metal band from Falun, Sweden formed in 1999. The band's main lyrical theme is that of historical wars (mainly about World War II). Their debut album Fist for Fight was released in 2001. Since then Sabaton has recorded and released 4 studio albums, the latest (and arguably best) of them being The Art of War. Although Sabaton, from the musical point of view, is your usual power metal band, they still stand out a lot in the power metal scene by being a bit more credenced then most power metal bands. Also they are musically a bit more diverse than most power metal bands.

Antisect are an English anarcho-punk band, formed in 1982 in Daventry, Northamptonshire, UK. Their debut album, In Darkness There is No Choice, was released in 1983.
Antisect were a signal band in the timeline of hardcore punk music: Their influence has been indelible upon "black-clad, politically-charged punks over the last 30 years".
The band were instrumental in bringing the subject matter of "animal rights" and "social conscience" to a punk rock audience and were among the instigators of the squat venue scene in the mid to late 1980s. Members lived the lifestyle of being either on the road or part of the vibrant London squat scene of the time. They toured extensively both in the UK and europe, before finally splitting in 1987.
