FUN CLUBWebsite Listen
Fun Club is a fun focused (not ford focus) energy driven machine that counts fun as a friend more than an a acquaintance and the boo hoos as an enemy with whom they would like to have some choice words. All together, Fun Club is part rap, part pop, part 1980s, part comedy, part tragedy and All Fun.
WIDDLE MONSTERS Website
In a time where everything has been done, there is a real misconception of originality and individualism. For too long have we allowed these self sucking depressive "musicians" to repackage that which has come before them. If you don't understand now, you will when you're done following. We are not a metal band. We're entertainment. If you are too stupid to understand that not all performers can fall into a rank and file then I suggest you go eat what your television feeds you.Yes, we are electronic in part. That which is programmed is done out of necessity due to the fact that it is beyond the reach of human ability.
OTTO'S DAUGHTER Website
Otto's Daughter is female fronted cyber erotic pop-metal. The perfect balance between melody and aggression, light and shade. Fragile yet brutal. The music straddles the fence between pop and metal, never sacraficing one for the other. Jacqueline Van Bierks soothing, caressing vocals float sensually above the often muscular musical landscape; providing the velvet glove to the instruments pumping fist.
Otto's Daughters sound has evolved from raw, goth/industrial to a tantilizing, erotic riff raff mealstrom.

THE BITTER WIGSThe Bitter Wigs are a recently formed power trio with roots steeped in early 70’s punk.Keeping it simple is the bands musical mantra, while infusing relevant lyrical content.
THE SKY WE SCRAPE Website
The newly formed outfit Sky We Scrape plays a hybrid style of hardcore and heavy punk rock. The band’s raw emotion is offset by interesting song structures and instrumentation. SWS display inventive songwriting and pay real attention to the soundscapes they create, pounding out 3 minute heavy novellas on the concrete walls of blue collar Chicago.
THE GREAT KALI Website
"wed-stirs dictionary defines Kali as "the Hindu goddess of death and product placement that has a dozen human heads in its nut sack functioning as replacement testicles and drinks poison kool-aid for breakfast." The band The Great Kali however is much less reliant on poison drinks and instead relies on a power packed set full of riffs and drive that wont give up until you're past out or puking from bouncing around so much. Or perhaps both." - Flabby Hoffman
THE BLISSTERS Website
The Blissters were formed in the Summer of '04 when former bandmates and current Spice Girls obsessives Arnold and Erica (ex The Envoys) reunited to record an EP for Arnold's project Combination F. The recording went super swell, so the kids decided to stick together and form a brand new band. Scott (ex of NYC's The Letdowns) joined up after a brief drummer search and the hot new bassist Johnny D completes the group, and all is well with the world. The Blissters music soothes the soul but shakes the naughty areas, combining melodic harmonies, upbeat tunes, and high energy live performances. With Erica's sexy voice, Arnold's catchy riffs, Johnny's tight bass lines, and Scotties spastic drumfills, The Blissters want you to sing-a-long and enjoy the music. Hope you do!

YOU ARE THE SOUNDWebsite
You is a high-energy progressive rock sound with influences stemming from The Mars Volta, TOOL, Interpol, and many others. With a driving rhythm section, fluctuating sounds and tempos, and a bit of gritty grunge ethic, they create artistic and visual music that is distinctively, and undoubtedly, You.
SECTION 4 Website Listen
Section 4 has played several Chicago stages, and we mean to play more stages, more frequently. Constantly compared to Beth Gibbons from Portishead, Romero's voice is insane.
WRITTEN IN RED Website
Combining several different influences into one sonic package, Southern Chicago's Written In Red strive to bring as much energy and meaning to their music as possible. Once you mesh that with a very powerful live show, you have nothing less than a band poised for success.

Iron Butterfly/O.G Heart psychedalia from Chicago...total psychadelic warp zone music...dust joint anthems.
FIXER Website
"There are literally thousands of “bands” in New York City; Fixer are rock stars, they just don’t have a platinum record yet. They look more Sunset Strip than Bedford Avenue, not afraid of excess in either their music (balls to the wall raunchy hard rock in the style of early Guns ‘N’ Roses) or appearance." --Jersey Beat Magazine

THE BRONXWebsite
The Bronx’s are a raucous, blood-pumpin’ maelstrom of super-charged riffs, out-of-control shrieks and cool hip-swinging licks with influence rooted in the brash high-energy grooves of old tour-buddies Rocket From The Crypt. With adrenalised shit-kicking riffs, the Bronx rip the carpet from right under your feet, stirring up a screaming tornado of ass-whippin’ punk rock that is just unrelentless from start to finish. They’re a band brandishing the flamin’ blues-ridden grooves of The Stooges and MC5, pumping them with an explosive modern-day re-interpretation slammed straight up to 11 and burning with a wreckless live-fast-die-young attitude.

CHUCK RAGANWebsite
The former Hot Water Music frontman has become a musical troubadour, writing stripped-down acoustic songs that retain the same passion evident in his punk rock career. Feast or Famine, his debut studio album for SideOneDummy, beautifully captures the sound of a gifted singer/songwriter as he journeys into the next chapter of his musical life, with an acoustic guitar in hand.
BEN NICHOLS Website
"What does Ben Nichols's solo music sound like?"
Glad you asked, it sounds like it could have been the acoustic out-takes of Rebels, Rogues & Sworn Brothers but with non-typical Lucero subject matter. It’s a great snack while we wait for the next Lucero album.
TIM BARRY Website
For a guy who loves the leisurely rhythms of southern life, it’s been a hectic couple of months for Tim Barry: he’s already toured the states twice with Avail, the cult fave hardcore/rock/punk band he’s fronted since 1991; jetted to Europe for a string of solo dates; and put down ten tracks for a solo disc, Rivanna Junction, on indie label Suburban Home.

FUCKED UPWebsite
All too often punk music is about getting it right, picking a particular subgenre and acing it the way you might a test. Toronto's Fucked Up has proven the antithesis of this approach since their inception. Formed in early 2001, this five-piece has managed confrontation without cheap gimmicks or novelty, creativity without pointless noodling and intensity without predictable arrangements. Seamlessly plowing through punk's varied past, a Fucked Up song can invoke the melodic anthems of British Oi, the brawny directness of early ’80s American hardcore and the artistic autonomy of a band that doesn't care what its forebears have done before.

Over the years, the band has progressed through many line up changes and the sound has constantly matured, stepping away from the typical black metal thematics and embracing different influences within the sound, while maintaining a raw and harsh edge that's unique to the black metal genre. The incorporation of other influences have helped the band create a sound that is unique to them specifically, and will continue to work as an ever-expanding unit with the ultimate goal to create metal music that pushes boundaries and walks into uncharted territories.

If you can't stand the profanity, stick around for the sounds. At least one of our bass lines will stick in your head. And if not, one of us will just stick ya. Or should I say "poke" ya? If you haven't heard Coliseum, you're in for a big suprise. Picture the same energy of Black Cross, but throw in a bunch of Turbonegro and Motorhead influence, then sprinkle on some Black Flag. The songs, for the most part, are politically motivated.

BANEWebsite
Screaming has rarely, if ever, been as artful as it is with Bane. The Beantown hardcore merchants platter is, simply put, intelligent, and not in the Fugazi/Bad Religion realm of academic snootiness, though you could certainly do worse than the impassioned social critiques presented admirably and less than amiably by Aaron Bedard. The acumen comes from expanding the boundaries of the (self) limited genre without removing its requisite hostility. The gang-chorus vocals recall the rugged, thugged-out mug-pulling of New York hardcore stalwarts, but the rhythm section is damn near jazzy, like Helmet could have been if it didn't lose its direction, and the soundscapes are atypical, atonal blasts of venom right out of the Henry Rollins (when he was still vital) school of hard knocks about the head and shoulders with a large stick.
H2O Website
it is impossible to fully appreciate H2O until you have seen them perform live. Toby's unstoppable onstage energy and personality, coupled with the band's solid musicianship, always lends itself to a hard-hitting, unforgettable show. And with the recent addition of bassist Adam Blake (formerly of Shelter), H2O has been invited to tour the United States and Canada with the likes of Murphy's Law, the Misfits, and Social Distortion, and has sold out countless headlining shows all over the East Coast. For H2O, it's all about bringing the music to as many listeners as they can. Says Toby: "Hardcore is not about what you eat, drink, or wear. It is a way of life, the music and the message."

ACUMEN NATION Website
This Chicago industrial quintent is entrancing and entertaining, the energy of this band is incredible; the music they create is a potent driving force that captivates audiences and leaves them exhausted. They often incorporate self-produced short film clips as a back drop. These films act in cooperation with the music to provide an all-encompassing audio-visual sensory experience that is almost overwhelming.

FOXY SHAZAM Website
Deep in the vast midwest Cincinnati's Foxy Shazam! spent the past year prior to their 2005 independent release (The Flamingo Trigger) writing, recording and carving their groove into the regional music scene with their loud atchable musical nonsense backed up by thier tideflunkty and marzegatie stage show. Foxy Shazam! has strived to become a band that can take a non-directional sound and make it directional; utilizing blasphermizized piano and sloppy oof bass and guitar licks to create very organized noise which collides doosledly with a tashtfull skewed pop sensibility. Foxy's unkuating sound is compiled from a wide thing that is very big of influences from 50's & 60's-style surf guitar to commercial jingles all balanced flangouriusly underneath vocals that range from bashedmert to almost "fairytale".

FUNKER VOGT Website
Funker Vogt (a German Aggrotech band) returns to Chicago after four long years with their destructive beats and relentless lyrics. This is their only 2008 show in the US! Make sure to be a part of this memorable event! Often compared to bands such as Leaether Strip and :wumpscut:, Funker Vogt 's aggressive electronic style is based upon old EBM strategies, albeit mixed with more modern electro and industrial elements, similar to KMFDM. Stripped down power play electronics, Funker Vogt utilize a strong sense of melody within powerful rhythms, emphatic dance beats and distorted vocals.
